BIBLE STUDIES:  See our Calendar for scheduled Bible Studies.

MEN’S BIBLE STUDY:  A small group of men meet every Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:00 pm via Google Meet. Email the church office for the link to the study. This group is designed to provide a place for men who are earnestly seeking God and want to become better husbands, fathers, family members, and friends. They select a book of the Bible and read about a chapter a week together to help them grow in relationship with God, and to live and serve as Christ would have them to.  All men are welcome.

SUNDAY SCHOOL: Children ages three through fifth grade can attend Sunday School from 9:00 – 9:50 AM. We have two classes, one for ages three through second grade and one for ages third through fifth grade.

KIDS WORSHIP:  Children ages three through second grade are invited to attend Children’s Church during the service. They will have an opportunity to come into the service for communion and special events like baptisms.

YOUTH GROUP: Once a month, our older children (older elementary schoolers and up) meet for Youth Group to have fellowship with their fellow youth and work on mission projects. Currently, they are working on a community pantry to put on the church road. They meet after Sunday Worship. Check the calendar for upcoming dates.

FRIDAY FUN NIGHT: Friday Fun Night is currently on hold; check back for updates!

We take seriously the life of prayer and invite you to join in this ministry. If you are interested in following our prayer list or adding a name to the prayer list, please fill out a request form or email the church office.

Church at Six Fork’s United Women in Faith meet at 7:00 PM on the first Monday of the month, or the second Monday if the first is a holiday. They are on break for the summer and will resume meetings in September.

The organized unit of the United Women in Faith shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Out of the Purpose are four mission foci that relate to the mission initiatives and priorities of United Women in Faith.

● To be a community of women
● To know God
● To develop a creative and supportive fellowship
● To expand concepts of mission

President – Rose Spradley
Vice President – Mary Gordon
Secretary – Heather Roberts

On the third Monday of the month, our Men’s Fellowship meets for fellowship, devotional reflection, and missional planning. They also place special emphasis on supporting ministry with children and youth. We have done this in the past by supporting the preschool and providing college scholarships to graduating high school students! They usually meet at 6:00 PM at a restaurant to be determined the week before the meeting. Check our calendar for more information.

We celebrate all kinds of music at Church at Six Forks and are led in a growing and diverse repertoire. If you love traditional hymns, you’ll enjoy joining your voice for “O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing” or “Be Thou My Vision”! If you find God’s peaceful presence in contemporary praise, you’ll love hearing us play “We Will Feast in the House of Zion” or “10,000 Reasons”! We believe it is important to draw from the broad range of Christian musical traditions to worship God with all we have and with all that we are!

If you are interested in singing with the Praise Choir or sharing your individual musical gifts, please reach out to the church office.

At the 2023 North Carolina Annual Conference, the NCCUMC passed a resolution on Creation Care Teams in Local Churches, urging churches to care for creation and justice through our worship, education, practice, and advocacy. As the resolution says, “Creation is under tremendous strain due to the poisoning of air, water, and land; habitat destruction; the unsustainable consumption of earth’s finite resources; and the rapidly accelerating extinction of species.”

Church at Six Forks’ Creation Care Team is working to care for our world and people. Amongst other things, they have set up recycling for the church and spread awareness on social issues such as domestic violence, heart health, and diabetes. If you would like to be a part of the team, please talk to Pastor Angela.
