NEW MEMBERS’ COURSE (TBD)

MEN’S BIBLE STUDY:  A small group of men meet every Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:00 pm in the Youth Room for an in-depth Bible study.  This group is designed to provide a place for men who are earnestly seeking God and want to become better husbands, fathers, family members, and friends. They select a book of the Bible and read about a chapter a week together to help them grow in relationship with God, and to live and serve as Christ would have them to.  All men are welcome.

NURSERY:  The nursery is available for children six weeks of age through two years of age, both during the service and Sunday School hours

KIDS WORSHIP:  Children ages three through second grade are invited to attend Kids Worship during the service. Parents can check them in and pick them up from their classroom, and they will have an opportunity to come into the service for communion and special events like baptisms.

SUNDAY SCHOOL:  Sunday School follows the church service and is offered for children three through fifth grade on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays of the month.

Our prayer team meets in our building each Tuesday morning at 9am to lift up prayers for our congregation, community, and our world!

Paul taught the church in Ephesus, “Pray in the Spirit at all times in every prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert and always persevere in supplication for all the saints. Pray also for me, so that when I speak, a message may be given to me to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it boldly, as I must speak.” (Eph. 6:18-20 NRSV)

We take seriously the life of prayer and invite you to join in this ministry. If you are interested in following our prayer list, please email [the church office].

MEN’S FELLOWSHIP

Our Men’s Fellowship meets for fellowship, devotional reflection, and missional planning about every other month. Look for our scheduled meetings below.

The Men’s Fellowship places special emphasis on supporting ministry with children and youth. We have done this in the past by supporting the preschool and providing college scholarships to graduating high school students!

We celebrate all kinds of music at Church at Six Forks and are led in a growing and diverse repertoire by our Music Director Tom Dwight. If you love traditional hymns, you’ll enjoy joining your voice for “O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing” or “Be Thou My Vision”! If you find God’s peaceful presence in contemporary praise, you’ll love hearing us play “We Will Feast in the House of Zion” or “10,000 Reasons”! We believe it is important to draw from the broad range of Christian musical traditions to worship God with all we have and with all that we are!

If you are interested in singing with the Praise Choir or sharing your individual musical gifts, please reach out to the church office, who will put you in contact with Tom Dwight.
